Whitney's First Birthday!
Holy cow! I can't believe that it has been a year since our sweet little Angel has come to us! Where did the time go? It makes me tear up thinking about how much we have been through to get her here! I am so glad that she is here. She is my sunshine! Well She had her first birthday on 10/29. Two days before Halloween! I am really glad that she didn't come on Halloween, I didn't want that. I don't know why, but I just didn't. Well on her Birthday I had to go to work and she was with Grandma Bezzant for most of the day, I couldn't wait to get home to see her and be with her. Trav wasn't home he was on the road and he was going to be home for her Birthday party on Friday! I got to my mom's and then took her shopping. We first went to Target and I picked out her presents, well actully Travis did too, because I called him a thousand times to give him the details about what I wanted to get, I couldn't decide, I found so many cute things. Also I got some stuff for the party and then went to the mall to find some white shoes for her and earings for me. Of course I had to go my favorite store for her. It's called crazy eight. I found the cutest little sweater dress and shoes and socks and cute heart baretts that matched the outfit! I couldn't pass it up. Then I decided that I needed to take her out to dinner. You always need to take your kids out for lunch or dinner on their birthday. We went to the Flaming Wok in the University mall, I thought that she would like the noodles. She LOVED them. I got sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken and I also got a sprite for us to share. It was so cute to watch her take her first sip of sprite, She took a sip and made a funny face and then I tried to give it to her again and she wouldn't take it, I think it was too fizzy for her and she likes her drinks warm (her milk has to be really warm) so I think that she didn't know what to do! That is fine if she doesn't want to drink pop, hopefully less dentist bills. :) Anyway it was a nice day, but it didn't feel like her birthday until Friday when we had the party. I will post soon about her birthday. I need to get the pictures off my camera. Trav stole the batteries out of it to put it in his camera, so I don't know when I will get them posted, but I will soon. :)

Ohio continued
Well, it has been a month, and I bet your dying to know what else we did in Ohio. I know I am way behind on our summer, but when you have a baby, you really don't have time to blog. But Whitney is asleep and I am on fall break so here it goes:
Anyway.... after his brother picked us up in his small little vehichle that reminded me of my uncle Kenneth's car. (that is another blog) we arrived at Travis's mom's house. She lives in Apple Creek, just a little town, I mean LITTLE town outside of Wooster, Ohio. Travis's mom lives in Amish Country, his across the street neighbors are Amish and so his mom's house (trailer) is the only one with lights on, Everything else is pitch black, you can't see anything. We got there pretty late and we were all tired. So some important things that we did there was one, that Travis's sister went and recieved her endowments! It was a great day! Travis's neice Adalaide watched Whitney while we were in the temple, and I was so nervous, because I have never left her with anyone except my mom, and my sisters. But Adalaide did really well! When were waiting for Angie to come into the Endowment room, I was sitting besides Travis's sister Heidi and then she walked into the room! I can't describe the feeling I felt when she walked into the room, there was such a strong spirit there! I started to get emotional and looked over at Heidi and I think she was feeling the same way I felt, because she was crying too! It was such a great experience and I was so happy to be in the Celestial room with my sweetheart! After the temple we went out to eat, I can't remember what it was called, but it was a buffet and it was really good, The next big event was our nephew Brandon that got baptized! Travis's brother Aaron baptized him and Travis was a witness and Confirmed him a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints! Again that was such a spiritual day! In Ohio they actually get baptized on Sunday and Confirmed the same day. I even get emotional now writing about this day too! Again there was a special spirit in the room as Brandon entered the waters of baptism and then again there was a special spirit as he recieved the Holy Ghost! I am so proud of Travis that he got this oppurtunity to do this and that he has always Honored his priesthood, so he could be worthy do to things like this! It was a amazing day! It was also a nice visit with my mother-in-law Cheryl, she is so sweet to me and Travis's family makes me feel so welcome, that I actually didn't want to come home to reality. Travis had to leave to go on the road and I wasn't going to leave until wednesday so I had two days with travis's mom, sister and brother and their families. One of those days we went to Tuscora Park! It was so much fun, but I didn't feel that great and so I was really tired. It is really funny, but Travis's mom hates to drive on busy roads, so I got to drive to Tuscora and it was different to drive in a city that I had no idea where I was going. Tuscora park was like a amusment park for little kids, It has a train, merry-go-round, ferris Wheel and swings, but the park was absoutley beautiful, but it wasn't for babies at all! But I did discover that Whitney LOVES to swing in the baby swings at the park. We also fed the ducks, by the time we were done, it was dark and it was time to drive back, but I forgot to bring my glasses and I can't see very well in the dark, so Travis's mom tried to follow Angie back to Apple Creek, but she couldn't Keep up with her (she kinda drives kinda slow). Now I know why Travis drives so slow! LOL. Whitney did really well on the plane again as were going home! This time theiy didn't have any extra seats so I had to hold her, but she was sooo good and she made a lot of friends on the plane, especially a little dog. Yes there was a dog on the plane, he was in a little doggie bag. Get it Doggie Bag! I crack myself up!! Anyway she thought that the dog was great and a lot of people were impressed how well she was behaved and how happy she was! Well that is about it. I hope you enjoyed reading about our trip, I had a lot of fun and I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Ohio this next summer, but one thing Whitney will be 19 months, so I have no idea how she will do on the plane, maybe next time I will have to drug her. (Kidding mom, Kidding) I love to watch my mom's eyes get big when we say stuff like this :)

Ohio
I know that I haven't written for awhile, things have been crazy. But I still need to catch up on our summer, so here it goes. After the Fourth of July we were getting ready to go to Ohio to visit Travis's family. This has been a tradition ever since we got married, to go to Ohio in the summer time. We Left on July 15, 2009 This was Whitney's first time on a plane and I was a little nervous that she would be upset all the way there. Our Plane was to leave at 5 p.m. that day. My mom took us up to the airport and we went through security. I had to take her out of the stroller and they looked through my diaper bag. After that it was quick sailing to the gate. She was hungry so I fed her a bottle and then it was time to load the plane. I was excited, because before we got on the plane I asked if there was a extra seat and they said that there were and that I could take Whitney's car seat and she could have the extra seat. Whoo Hoo!! I was still nervous about her little ears. I heard that the taking off and landing could hurt her little ears so I made sure that she had her binky and a bottle just in case that she was uncomfortable. We got on the plane and waited a little bit to take off, but we were ready to go and she acted pretty happy! The plane started to go and then it started to take off, and soon enough we were up in the air. I looked over to see how she was doing and she was asleep!!! :) To make a long story short she did great on the plane and she didn't even sqwak one bit. She was happy as a clam. We landed at 11:00p.m. in Cleavland and Travis's sister Angie and his brother Aaron was there to get us. As soon as I got off the plane the humidity hit me, It was really warm and I was starting to sweat. I thought oh no it is going to be hot the whole time that we were there and I was worried that Whitney would get overheated, because Travis's mom didn't have any a/c. Anyway we met up with Angie and Aaron and went to get my Luggage. I guess that Aaron had driven up in his little red car and it was funny, because I told him that I had a lot before we came and we had a hard time fitting everything in his puny car :), but we made it and we were off to Wooster. To be contiued....

Whitney's First Fourth of July
Yes it has been awhile since I posted last. :) I thought it was about time to post again. I had lots of fun picking out her fourth of July outfit, this time I had four outfits to choose from. :) They all fit her I found one at wal-mart, target and two at babies 'r' us. I decided that I really liked the one from Target. The top was red and white striped and the bottom was blue shorts. They were so cute on Her!! That night we were going to go to my sister's (Lisa's house) and eat dinner and watch the Pleasant Grove fireworks. (Note: this is a tradition that we have done since I was young to watch the fireworks, they used to to be at the highschool, but since they got a new football field they would never do them again, they were too worried that if some fell on the field that it would melt the "fake" grass, turf!) Anyway I was really excited to show her off to the family. I had just fed her and was about to put her down for a nap, when i smelled something. I thought oh no she poopied. Sure enough she did and it was all over her outfit and I thought grrrreat I really like this outfit, Hello, I have a washer and drier, I hurried and put another outfit on her and threw it in the wash. Travis got home in time to go to my sister's for dinner and we were off. They had ribs and they were really good!!! The meat was so tender that it fell right off the bone!!! Thinking about now makes me crave them and my mouth water. Lisa is a great decorator for parties and she has such good taste, she had her deck all decked out!! She had the tables covered in cute table cloths red, blue and white and tea candles set out! You would have been there, but it was so festive. I loved it!! And my sister is a great host!!! :) Anyway it was getting a little chilly i thought so i changed whitney into her p.j's and it was time for the fireworks. They were really good this year!! Anyway after it was done it was time to go back and help lisa clean up. It was a good day to be with my family and most of all it was a great day to be with Whitney and my sweet husband Travis. :)

Strawberry Days Parade Contined!
Well.. I know this is a little late talking about the Parade, but I have a lot of catching up to do! I think that this will become my journal. I am going to be honest! If you don't like anything I say too bad! :) The Next Morning we got up around 7 a.m. the parade started at 10:00 so we have to get up earlier because we live 40 minutes away from Pleasant Grove. This was going to be Whitney's FIRST STRAWBERRY DAYS!!! I was so excited. We hurried and got ready and off we went. I had three outfits for the day. The first one was one I bought before Whitney was even born. I looked at the tag and I was so excited to put her in it, I saw the tag and I was dissapointed it said 12 months and Whitney was only 7 1/2 months. I tried on her to see if it fit. Nope! It was way too big! The Second Outfit was One that my sister Karen bought for Whitney it was really cute. It had strawberrys all over it. It was a onsie. It was cute I looked at the tag and then it said 6 months. Oh no I was dissapointed and I didn't want to hurt my sisters feelings that I didn't put her in it. So finally the last one was I bought at target, but it wasn't cute as my sisters. I fianlly put it on and we were ready to go! I looked outside and looked up at the sky and it was cloudy! I thought oh please don't rain on us. I stepped out to see what the tempature was and it was cold! Maybe in the 60's but not what I wanted it to be for her first strawberry days, because her outfit was sleevless(I can't spell) so I looked around for her little sweater and put it on. Alright we were ready to go! We got there a little early and the only people that were there so far was my aunt Nancy (my dad's sister) and her Husband (uncle Robert) My family wasn't even there yet! Typical! ;) Anyway we got settled and waited for the parade to start. During that time, my family started to trickle in. Finally the parade started! It was a great Parade and she wasn't even scared of the Fire Engines, she just learned how to clap so she started to clap when the Fire Engines went by it was soooo dang cute. I didn't bring my video camera gosh dang it! Well, it did rain a little bit, but they still did the parade and after the parade we went to my sister Amie's House and had a bbq it was great they had a cotton candy machine that they rented and a snow cone maker, the only thing lacking was the smell of the carni ( the carnival always has the smell of cigratee smoke) we don't smoke, but we have a inside joke about that, but you wouldn't understand it. Anyway they also had strawberries and cream and sure was mmmmm Good! Then it started to rain and everyone had to run around and get the cotton candy machine and everything inside! It was a great Day!!!! I always look forward to that family tradition!! We usually don't even take a vacation during that time because their is so much going on that week. I am already looking forward to next year, becuase she will be old enough to go on the rides :)

Strawberry Days
This year was the first Strawberry Days for Whitney. There was a lot of activities that week, we first went to Huck Finn Days with my Sisters Karen, Amie, and my Sister-in-Law Lori and their kids Abbey, Braxton, Landen, Tyson, Mikayla, Hannah, Porter, Ila and of course Whitney. It was fun they had pony rides, a fish pond where you could catch real fish, face painting and etc, The only activity that Whitney really did was the face painting, (pictures will be coming soon) They drew a little heart on her face and she looked so adorable. Then everyone decided to go swimming, but we live in Santaquin and I didn't bring Whitney's Swimsuit or a swimsuit for me. I had a dentist appt that day also. Before I went Swimming I went to Wal-Mart and Got Whitney a pink heart Swimsuit and also one for me. I went to my dentist appt and had to get a route canal done. It wasn't fun, but they were fast. After that we went to the Pleasant Grove Swimming Pool. At Wal-mart I also bought her a floaty. It is a turtle. We got there and I knew that when we got there that she was tired. Amie had watched her earlier and had gotten her all ready in her swimsuit and she was ready to go, but I could tell that she was really Tired so I held and she went to sleep so it took awhile to get into the pool. I was hoping that she wouldn't be scared of the water. She likes her baths so I didn't worry too much if she would like it. After a while she woke up and I put her into her little turtle she didn't cry!! Wa hoo! She likes it, she was pretty quiet and didn't cry, but her face looked like she didn't know what to do in this "big bath tub" It was fun to watch her, she didn't get really excited like she does in the tub. I guess I was more worried about kids splashing her and her not liking it so I think I was a little overprotective of her. I should relax more :) well tune in Later for the Parade!

Whitney's Blessing
Today was a great day! It was Easter Sunday and also we were able to finally bless Whitney!! It was beautiful. It was great my whole family was there and Travis's brother Jody came too! Travis Blessed Whitney and the people that were in the circle were Travis, Jody, Uncle John, Great Grandpa Bezzant, Dave, Bryce, Kellen, Deric, Uncle Robert and Dad. After the blessing we had a luncheon at our house and it was really nice we had barbeque turkey and lots of food it was really good! I am so glad that she was blessed today. As I was putting on her dress I felt the spirit so strong that this little precious girl has the sweetest spirit and is such a good baby. I am so glad that she is in our home. She brings so much Joy to our home! I love her so much. I am also glad that Travis holds the priesthood and was able to give her a name and a blessing. She is five months, but the wait was worth it. It was a great and Spiritual Day!

It Finally Happened
Well.... Yesterday was March 23, 2009. I was getting ready to go shopping for Whitney's blessing dress. She was playing under her play mat. ( which she loves) and I went out of the room for a minute and then I could hear start fussing a little bit and she does that sometimes when she is tired or hungry, but I thought that I had already changed her, fed her, what else could be wrong. She also loves to be held so I thought that maybe she wanted to be held, so I go into the living room and there she was on her tummy. She had rolled over!!! By herself and I didn't even get to watch her do it!! I was so excited so I put her on her back and see if she would do it again. Nope not a dang thing happened after that. I can't believe I missed it. I think that I have miss independent on my hands. :)

through whitneys eyes
Tonight as I put Whitney to bed and watch her try to put herself to sleep I see that little hand come up and she looks at her hand like she has never seen before. As she twist and turns it to see how her hand works and she is amazed that it can move and it is attached to her. How we take things for granted like our hands where someone so tiny loves to look at her tiny hands and is awwed by their sight. As I rock her back and forth I think to myself of the out pouring love I have for Whitney this must how God feels for everyone of us. He wants us to be happy and he is always there for us no matter what our circumstance is. Before I became a mom I didn't understand how much God really loved me, but now that I am a mother I think I might understand that he loves me and wants the best for each of his children. What a blessing Whitney is to our family. She is a ray of sunshine and brings me joy everyday. Waiting 4 years was all worth it!! It was hard at times and I didn't think that I would ever become a mother. Yes it is hard sometimes with lack of sleep, but it is all worth it. I love being her mother and wouldn't ask for a better child. I hope she stays happy! I love my sweet whitney. Good Night Whitney see you in the morning!

update
well.... I will hurry and say that since october 29, 2008 our lives have changed dramatically and I love being a mother. I especially love holding Whitney in my arms at night while I play paul cardall songs to her as she falls asleep. I love playing his music to her. I usually play I am a child of God and I rock her to sleep. She is such a joy to be around and I love being her mother. I am so blessed to have this oppurtunity to have such a wonderful little spirit in our home. She brings me such joy and happiness that I can't describe. I defenitly now know what a mother's love is all about and what a sweet joy she is. I love her so much!
